Egerton Under 21's are fully prepared of the new North West Under 21 Development League East Division on Sunday as they face Stockport Vikings at Torkington Park this weekend, after an outstanding season which has seen the club win 6 games out of 6, scoring 32 goals, We caught up with Manger Tom Fox to see how things are looking ahead of Sunday's game.
"Our pre-season has been emphatic winning 6 games out of 6, including 3 wins over Premier Division sides".
"This has created a great vibe around the squad and I am positive we will use the most players this season having 31 signed on already".
With such a positive pre-season in preparation for the new season, Egerton are very confident in what they can achieve this season.
"We have a very ambitious squad meaning we literally believe we will beat anyone we face, I am confident to say we will be up there to win the East Division, and hopefully a Championship Cup run".
"We are going into this as the dark horse, the team which goes unnoticed and gains a few scalps, what better way to attempt this by playing Daten Under 21's away in the first round".
Egerton will need to carry on their consistent run of performances into Sunday as they are on the road and have a tough test to Stockport Vikings.
"We have more than 24 players ready and it's my job now to cut that to 16. The approach we take is possession based attacking football".
"We have different formations for who we are playing and who we have playing for us, showing our flexibility".
When we spoke to the manager, he believes he has a very talented squad. But he has told us to watch out on Rhian Davies which some Man United fans may have heard of, as well as Oliver Ford who will score a bagful of goals at this level.
